People are interesting

There is a nationaly known coffee store close by. Therefore, I am a regular customer, much to my happiness. Though my spending money doesn't agree.

The coffee is addictive. I guess there are worse things to be hooked on. But SOME people should find a 12 step program before they get started.

I was at the drive-thru window the other day, waiting for my order. In the rearview mirror I'm watching the traffic just to be on the safe side. You never know when a driver putting on their mascara, will stop paying attention and rear-end you. I've seen it happen.

A van (mom-mobile) pulls up and places their order. They then pull out of the drive-thru lane and circle around the pick-up area. This place used to be a bank with two lanes so there is room for this maneuver. After going more than half way down the exit lane, they realize their mistake and try to back up around a curved drive. Not a good move in a van.

Reality soaks in that they aren't going to pull this off. So they take off around the building and make another try at this. Smart move. Would have been my first thought. But they take it to a new extreme.

They come back around, and pull out of the pick-up lane again. They are trying to circle around all the other customers that pulled in after they left. The employee working the window is now wishing they had a cam-corder to send to "Stupid People Tricks" or "Funniest Home Videos". They will probably need a chiropractor to straighten out their neck after closing time.

I finally got my coffee and decided to get out of there before I became a statistic due to someone elses stupidity.

Some people shouldn't drink and drive. Then there are those that shouldn't drive to drink.

"Hello. My name is Bob. And I'm a java junky with a bad case of the Jones's. Double latte style, if you catch my shakes."

Fools.

Memories

Ever have a flashback to GOOD memories?

Yeah, it is kind of strange but it happens.

Like this one...

Nope, she wasn't worth it.

Come Monday morning, my co-worker didn't even acknowledge me, let alone the promise of splitting the bounty found on the ground. She has yet to even mention the incident.

I should extract my portion, and maybe hers as well, the old fashion way: take her back behind the building and get what's mine. Make her plead for release, then deny it. It would be interesting to see if she would hide, or show off, the marks left on her wrists and ankles. Or if she would simply submit. Properly. Hmmm.

But I won't. She may like being restrained and vulnerable, and be playing me. Then what? There is hardly any room in my stable as it is and I don't need another responsibility. But, her time will come. I'm patient. And, I won't be played, or cheated.
